Need code to unlock network

Got a new Sim card ..I put it in my phone and it says network locked

The phone is network locked. You need to speak to your previous (hopefully still current) provider to get the unlock code.

Is this phone open to all mobile phone networks? Which phone is it? If the phone is locked to a single carrier you would need to get the phone unlock code from that original carrier before your new SIM card will work.
