NEED HELP!!! Bricked my Nook installing CM7!

So I found a youtube video that described step-by-step instructions on how to install CM7 with google apps and android market. The author called it idiot-proof. Ouch, because I managed to brick my Nook. Question is: HOW?

This is what I did:
1. Install WIN 32 disk imager..... check
2. Install 7zip...... check
3. Install latest CM7 zip........ check
4. Install googleapps and market zip...... check
5. Install 8gb clockwork recovery mod (I have a 8 gb microsd)...... check

I opened up the clockwork recovery mod zip and extracted the image file. I burned the clockwork image file on my microsd and moved the googleapps and CM7 zips onto the microsd.

Next I booted the nook into clockwork mode. Instructions were:

format system......
format data.......
format cache.......
install cm7 zip......
install google zip......
reboot........

AND ENJOY!

Here is the problem: everything worked except for data formatting. I do not know what I did wrong, but it simply failed. Over and over. Finally I ran everything else just for the hell of it, and upon rebooting the nook gets stuck on the CM7 team screen.

Question: How do I install CM7 on my nook? Do I have to revert back to the NOOK Color's original programming? If yes, how?

My goal is to have android running on my phone. I tried Honeycomb off my SD and was not impressed by it since it is a work in progress. What did I do wrong to mess up Idiot-proof instructions?

I know there are many threads out there that address these issues, but I figured maybe I need to know something else since I am now unable to boot anything except for the CM7 screen and clockwork mod recovery.

Thank you for your time guys!!!

In addition, which nook color do you have? Does the box have a blue or green dot on it? These new nooks have a different partitioning setup and the directions for the original nook color may not work when attempting to format the /data area.
Always ensure you have the latest version of clockwork recovery and the latest versions of any other zip files you are attempting to install.

I can't remember what was on the box. I bought it two weeks ago and the software was up to date. But given all the information, I am assuming that as long as everything is up to date there should be no problem? Even if it is in the state it is in? And just one final question: In light of so many postings on how to unbrick your nook color, is it even possible to properly brick a nook color?

Thank you very much for your help.

Newest update is what is giving problems due to the new partition system. And yes the nook is unbrickable unless something is wrong with the hardware.
