Need Help Droid freezing

All,
Need a little advice here. First the phone: rooted droid running 2.2. Phone memory is 66 mb free space. The problem: constant freeze ups. (it lags a lot). sd card has 14gb free. I moved everything i could over and i cant seem to free up more space. To be honest i dont know whats taking up all this space. Iam guessing the phone memory is the problem but not sure. Iam looking at the running apps and there doesnt seem to be a lot going on. I think i may just need to wipe the phone like new and start over but not sure if there is things i need to do because is rooted. I really dont know what to ask you guys/gals other than what sould i do here. Thank you

Try cleaning out all your caches. Excellent app for rooted users called Cache cleaner (it something). I do it manually. Cache in browser can be huge!

Do you flash roms often? Did you backup and wipe cache when you rooted it?
