Need help making GO SMS my default on Android 4 Razr Maxx

I apologize in advance if this has been answered, my search string did not pick it up.

Running the newest version of Android that was released today 03-24-2013

I went into GO SMS and set it to default within the application, but I guess android has a setting that is overriding Go.

Anyone know the answer?

If you're referring to the default messaging app for composing a new message, go into your contacts list, select a contact, and select the text message option. It should prompt you to select which application you wish to use. If it does not, you need to go into Settings > Apps > [Stock Messaging App] > Clear Defaults. Then repeat the steps above, and it should ask you which one. Select GoSMS, and ensure you select the "Always" option.

man, with earlier versions it used to be so much easier lol. I thought the purpose of upgrading software was to make things easier not harder. I was hoping to use GO SMS for all contacts.

Appreciate the help Patrick, but Clear Defaults is already grayed out. Gonna try to reboot my phone, but I dont see that as solving the problem.

Doing it the way stated above will default for all contacts.
