Need help superuser gives me error

Hi guys,
i downloaded everything, everything was alright till i opened the app superuser it said "The superuser binary (SU) must be updated. Please choose an installation method. Recovery mode installaion is recommended for HTC devices" and it gives me 3 choices which is "Cancel" "Recovery Install" "Install"
I got Samsung s4
after i press install it says " there was an error installing superuser. please send a log of the error to the developer." and if i press recovery install still the same message.
anyone can help me please

What carrier are you on and android version?? If your on Verizon mk2 (4.3) use safe root also works for 4.3 at&t if your on at&t kit kat you have to odin flash mk2 files to partially downgrade to mk2 to root super user isn't compatible bc of knox where as super.su disables knox
