Need help syncing my contacts

I have a Verizon HTC One M8. I have a Google account for my contacts.

I do not know why, but my contacts will not sync. This has been going on since the end of May, but I only just realized it.

I have tried to sign out of my google account and sign back in. It put all of my contacts back in and completely current. But then it would not sync after that. I have also tried a cache partition wipe. That did not help.

Don't know what else to do. All of the other parts of my google account are synced and staying current. It is just the contacts.

Could use some help and ideas. Thank you.

Google has been working on Contacts (on their end) for a while now. (If you try to restore contacts, you'll be sent to the old site, because the new site isn't done yet.) This could have something to do with they. Try contacting Google.

I'm feeling the same pain. I just switched over to a Nexus 6 for Project Fi and most of my new contacts from the past couple of months are nowhere to be found.
