Need help unlock bootloader sprint htc one

I have a sprint htc one and it has the newest jellybean 4.3, can i still unlock the bootloader and root it?
I see a lot of instructions on the web as how to do it, but nobody said anything about either the Sprint htc one new 4.3 jellybean bootloader can be unlocked or not.
I am new to this please help, and thank you in advance

I'm not 100% sure but I think only the AT&T and Verizon version's had locked bootloaders

Yes you can unlock the bootloader, You just cant get s-off right now which you dont really need but it is the best way to go.
