need help with bootloader. update.zip

im trying to install a rom on a droid 2, but after i installed it through rom manager, it gets stuck on the m logo, but it still could boot into bootloader, i already tried wipe/data cache many times. so i put a copy of rom and renamed it to update and put it into sd card. but it wont install and says signature verification failed. and i dont have a usb cable right now, any one know what should i do so it would install the zip file? thanks in advance

You cant flash ROMs from the bootloader, you do that from within recovery...and with this phone you MUST download a app called Droid 2 Recovery Bootstrap made by ClockworkMod, otherwise you will never be able to boot into recovery and flash custom ROMs.
