Need help with CWM Orange....

I updated CWM to 3.0 Orange and now I can't flash anything. I started over with a fresh SC 2.4 and I'm still on CWM Orange and can't flash the 2.8 update. I keep getting the error about Edify and needing to update something that I don't understand.

I really just want to go back to CWM red if that's possible. Anybody got a solution?

Yes, as of right now the only thing CWM orange is good for is doing nandroid backups. Adrynalyne was originally going to switch everything he had done and was doing to Edify to be flashed in the new CWM orange. But when he put out 2.8 he had a note in his OP about going back to Amend for it. Hardly anybody is making anything for Edify yet, so stick with red CWM-all. Just remember that if you are on a nonvoodoo kernel, they are still basically stock and as soon as you flash a new ROM with a stock kernel, you will lose CWM-all and revert back to blue stock recovery and have to flash cwm-all in ODIN again. PITA I know, but it will be that way until the source code is released and the devs can put out some custom kernels.

Am I flashing CWM - all after I flash the SC 2.4 in Odin? or Before? I'm still a bit lost

Edit : Flashed it after, back on red and updating to 2.8 now :) Thanks for the help!

I am not going to go into another whole long description of this, read my lengthy post on page 241 in this thread for an explanation of cwm:

Quick answer is if you used one of DroidXcon's all-in-one ODIN packages you have cwm-froyo, not cwm-all.

If you flashed my odin package, and you are getting orange its because update.zip was changed from flashing rom manager, you just need to change back to the update.zip i provided or flash cwm all both will work but using cwm all requires that you reflash it next time,,,,changing the update.zip will ensure you have red cwm next time
