Need help with migrating users in Google Play Store

[Android Central Question]

Our app was available for download outside of the Google Play Store until recently. We have recently uploaded the latest version to the GPS. Our existing users cannot download the new version of the app as an update in the GPS, because the two apps (the version we offered on the webpage and the current version in the GPS) use different certificates.According to the agency, the certificate used by Google cannot be replicated and integrated into an app version 5.2.X, because when uploading to the Google Play Store, additions are added to the app file that are not visible. Does anyone know where to query these additions in order to implement them? Does anyone know a way to migrate the users?
