Need help with recovery mode after rooting.

Hi, All.

I rooted my Optimus Slider not long ago.

It worked great using the "How to Root" thread on this board.

Now I seem to be stuck.

I have tried and cannot get to the recovery mode.

I tried the instructions given and cannot seem to get it.

Can someone send me the files needed to transfer into my phone and explain to me how to get them on my phone in step by step instructions.

I would really appreciate it.

Your phone comes with a recovery on it... so if you cant get into any recovery and you installed the recovery per the instructions at the top of this page. Ur doing the wrong button combination. Its home + volume down and then Power... hit them like that but hold them all at the same time until you get into a recovery. (from a power off state) If that doesn't work and you're rooted, open a terminal emulator and type su hit enter. then type reboot recovery.

Like I stated above, I didn't install the recovery per the instructions, as I am stuck with that part of it.

As for holding down the buttons when the phone is off, I get the blue screen that asks me if I want to reboot, etc.

Powering off is another issue, my phone wont power off since I rooted it, If I press the power button, I get the option to Power off, airplane mode and silent mode, I press power off and all the phone does is reboot. If I want to actually power off the phone I need to remove the battery.

Thanks for the link to go get the Apple Iphone 4S, I guess you already have it. However if I wanted it, i would have purchased it to begin with.

I wanted a solution to my problem, not go buy a different phone.

well your problem could possible be that the "All things Root" on this thread is for the LG l55c not the slider. im not shore if it works for your type of phone. I know that are phones are like brothers/sisters or whatever (omost the exact same) but i know that everything works for LG l55c. Try google and see what you can come up with on it.
im sher their is something on google about it.d
