Need help with ROM

I am new to adding ROMs to my Galaxy S3 and i just wanted to know, do i need to flash back to stock before installing a new one?

No i'm pretty sure you just need to wipe the phone and then flash new rom

That's correct. Be sure to wipe cache, dalvik and factory reset before flashing a new ROM. If you're just upgrading to a new version of the same ROM, you might be able to skip the factory reset step.
