My Fascinate was rooted and somehow developed a horrible lag, everytime I would unlock it I would see a black screen for about 2 minutes. So I did a wipe on the device, then it had the horrible forse close loop, so I followed the tutorial using clockwork and now I am back in business, but I cant root now. When trying to load the update.zip on my memory card through Android Recovery I get "E:signature verification failed Installation failed". I am not a rookie at this stuff but I am so frustrated :(. Any help is appreciated.

You need to reflash the CWM.tar file from Odin again. I'm not sure what steps you followed, but if you're getting signature errors, you don't have modified recovery binary.

Make sure you always use the "PDA" box in Odin, never ever use the "phone" box.

I found the file but now after my phone reboots during the rooting process I get "Sorry The process com.android.calender has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Any solutions??

I keep reading to use the "PDA" box when flashing the CWM and not the "phone" box. What is the PDA box?

I am rooted but haven't done the clockwork mod yet, but keep reading to use the PDA box.....

Also Will I have any issues if I install rom manager before I do the CWM?

Thanks,

the only issue you'll have is that rom manager won't be able to do anything until you flash the CW tar with odin.

the pda box is a section in the odin software, you can load the images into different fields, like phone, and pda. loading images into the phone field that aren't supposed to be in there will mess your phone up.

Thanks for the info I appreciate it, now to give the CWM a try.

Any tips on best place to get most up to date odin.tar file and best directions to use for the CWM? Here or XDA?

Thanks,
Drootz

the directions should be the same for the most part.

i hear the link here is dead though, so if you can't find it on xda let me know and i can send you mine.

here's the basic steps (from memory)

download odin
download the tar
put phone it bootloader (download) mode (take out battery, hold volume down and plug in USB while holding it down)
select the tar file from the PDA field
update

double check on the steps before though. :)
