AC Question

Asking for a friend. Her phone has been dying fast lately. Battery drain, mostly from Android System at 33% battery usage last time we looked.

Also, on lock screen her top menu bar with time/battery/wifi etc icons is overlayed by the same text but just shifted on itself it appears.

What is going on? Do we have to factory reset it? :(

Try wipe cache partition. It should leave all your data intact. It's a kind of spring cleaning as it were... If you don't know how, join the forums and we'll talk you through it.

Here I am!

So....embarrassing but the overlay text was a screenshot on the lockscreen.............lets just leave that be

We're still having horrible battery issues with the "android services"

found instructions on how to do the cache partition job now...going to try that.

Welcome to Android Central! There's a well-documented battery drain issue with a recent Oculus update affecting the S7, but my understanding is that the latest update patched that--so make sure it's fully updated now. If that doesn't help, try unininstalling or disabling Oculus in the App Manager, at least temporarily as a test.
