So I believe i have everything in order: I have the 5.1 zip file on my computer and am using WugFresh ToolKit to sideload the ota. Everything was going smoothly until it was verifying the system. After it said "Verifying Current System" on my phone it said: "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system has been remounted R/W; reflash device to reenable OTA updates. E:Error in /sideload/package.zip (Status 7)
Anybody else encountered this or know how to fix it? thanks so much!

Just out of sheer curiosity why didn't you just let the tools go get the files you need and follow his instructions? Flash stock+unroot. pick 5.1. then reroot after

I would remove whatever you have put in there and just do if the normal way with a force flash...

Only if you overwrite user. If you use no wipe mode all your files are retained

So I would do this and immediately afterwards, sideload the ota?
No it's going to do everything for you including downloading the files you need to go to 5.1 you just watch and follow the instructions on screen. when it's done re root.

flashing the image is same as sideloading the ota?
I'm not sure what the subtle difference is but yes it's the same. From an end-user standpoint OTA is no different from factory image.

What do you think the difference would be?
