What's this white symbol by the alarm clock icon

Welcome to the forums! That weird icon is a notification that NFC is turned on. If it bothers you, and you don't use NFC, toggle it off in settings.

I just installed the 4.3 update last night and noticed the icon right after updating. I wonder if it automatically enabled it during the update? I've never seen the icon before, but I know I had NFC turned off previously.
