Need help with weird battery level readings

Very much the noob here. I'm going under the assumption that I probably just need a new battery (had the same one for a good 2 years now)
But it seems to drain pretty quickly & when I charge when the power is off, it seems to jump percentages Very fast. Like, it'll go from being 30% to around 80% & I *know* it's not really that high.

So- new battery or a different fix?

I'm rooted and tried different battery calibration apps that didn't help me at all. So, I just bought a new battery for $7.50 (including free shipping) and it solved it.

Interestingly enough, when I took my 2 year old battery out from the phone I noticed that the battery was slightly bulging.
