Need Help

OK, I got the Razr Maxx after swearing off Android, I had a HTC Incredible and the phone just started rebooting and shutting off on its own, several times a day. I then went back to the Blackberry until I thought a good phone came out, the Razr Maxx. I have had it for about three weeks and all of a sudden I dont have sound coming from the ear piece. This happened once before but I rebooted the phone and the sound came back. Now the sound will not come back at all. If I switch to the speaker phone I have in call sound, switching back to the ear piece I dont have any sound. I dont want to get into another situation of returning the phone every month like I had to with the Incredible. I like the phone but I am not ready to have failures again, it has to at least be a phone.

Any help would be GREAT!

Paul, if this were happening to me I'd go to the verizon store and get another unit. Certainly don't put up with an inferior earpiece. Have you loaded the latest OTA? If not try that. Otherwise return the beast. I know it's frustrating, but this is really a good solid device, however there are always a few lemons among the gems.
 
I did go to Verizon and they are sending me a new unit. I assume that it will not be a referb unit since the phone is so new. I like the phone a lot, the screen is outstanding and the battery life is unbeatable. Overall it is a great device.

I wouldn't hope for a new one if I were you. The phone is a month old now, and that's typically when you start seeing refurb units being sent out. Still early though, so you could luck out.
