Need more memorty

Hey- Im pretty low on memory in my moto-droid 1. I cannot uprgrade to the X yet. I was told that I could download "astro file manager", this would allow me to save everything in the phone to the SD card. Anyone out there ever use the astro file manager? Any other ideas?

See what you can move to the SD card. Don't need Astro for that.

yeah, I did that. I'm still low. I deleted everything I don't need. I'm left with 128MB phone storage. I don't have an excessive amount of apps. etc on my phone.

Don't forget that data and cache for your apps also use internal storage. Check on them and clear as needed. Just be aware that clearing data for an app will probably wipe out its settings. There are apps to help with this. I don't names handy off the top of my head.

128MB is plenty (that's 50%). This isn't a PC. Why do you think you need even more?
