Need OTG HDMI adaptor

So here is the story. Wife dropped her phone. The screen was on but would not recognize touch. I plugged it into the computer to try and pull her pictures off and it only saw it as a media player with no files.

I downloaded Kies and tried it. Shows as a locked phone. (Can't swipe screen to unlock).

I ordered this OTG adaptor

Does not work with the Note5 or my S6.

Anyone know of a adaptor verified to work or another way to pull pictures?
