Need people to test Activate on IHO. Failed!

I'm trying to see if I can get the activate app working on IHO.

First off, this is nothing new... It's Harmonia 2.03 with the Activate app and supporting files.
Those looking for a rom fix need to look elsewhere.

This is a quick, simple test, all you have to do is install the rom and try the activate app. If activate starts, then I may be getting close. If it completes (it may take a few tries) then it works. If it does work (which I doubt), we will be able to get Activation working a on all OV roms. Normally I do my own testing, unfortunately, I can't test this for various reasons.

Warning:
While this won't hurt your phone, before you volunteer, remember, you will need to backup, then wipe your phone and install this rom. It may break your 3g, and even though restoring your nandoid will probably fix it, if it doesn't, you will have to wipe and install Harmonia 1x and run the activate on that before you can go back to whatever you were using. As always there is risks to this, but I have done all I can to minimize that and I have no reason to beleive this will break your phone, much less your 3g, I'm just covering my behind.

Do a nandroid first! (you have been warned!)

REMOVED for further testing

Unlike my normal roms, this is not signed since it's only a test build.

Re: Need people to test Activate on IHO.

I immediatly got "The applicastion SSA (process com.telespree.android.client) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.) on first boot. I get the same message when trying to open the activate app. So a no go this try. Ill test your next try though.

Im downloading it now, I will report back in a half hour

Re: Need people to test Activate on IHO.

keep getting the same thing. i may have to go into the programming menu on the phone and change the radio type. ill get it fixed somehow.

Re: Need people to test Activate on IHO.

For anyone who tried it, it's definitely not permanent, so don't freak out.

Thanks for testing it.

I removed the link to stop anyone else from doing it.

Re: Need people to test Activate on IHO.

I know its not permanent, just a pain haha. happened once while trying to port a OS rom over.

Never mind. Got it back. Just a suggestion, but I feel like there might be something in the default.prop that's keeping it from working, or maybe something within the apk itself. Just throwing things out there

No 3g or wifi which I'm sure you know, I rebooted 3 times and waited 15 minutes the last try. If you want I can try again tomorrow and run logcat

I think 3g was down for a bit, I freaked out have installing an app and did a bunch of things restored a backup and re-flashed a my ROM after a fresh wipe and still no 3g. It just came beck up a little bit ago. Did not install the ROM as I came in late, just wanted to give people a heads up.

No, I had it til I tested this, then I ran activate a million times

Could someone please post a logcat:

-Open terminal emulator

-Type:
Code:
su
logcat > /sdcard/logcat.txt

-Press the Home button to exit terminal (do not press back or exit)

-Try running the activate app one or two times

-Open terminal emulator, press the menu button and toggle soft keyboard

-Hold Volume_Down button and press the letter "c" (this is cntrl+c)

-Exit the terminal

-Grab the /sdcard/logcat.txt file and copy it's contents to pastebin.com

-Post the pastebin url here

Thanks! ;)

Just copying the APK to IHO will certainly not work. I transferred quite a few files (around 20 or so) that could be part of it, if it worked it could then be stripped back.

Kind of curious why there was a fc on boot, that in itself is odd since nothing should have been running. I'll have to look into that.
