Need stable daily driver ROM for my wife

So my wife has had a DROID Bionic since shortly after it came out and is her first Android phone. Unfortunately, some days her battery life is terrible, literally going from a full charge to dead in a couple of hours. I've read on here that there may be some hidden menu that you need Yahoo mail installed to access, but so far nothing I've tried has worked. I've always enjoyed custom ROMs on my phones but she sees the little quirks they tend to have and is hesitant about me installing anything other than stock on her phone. Is there a super stable, everything works, daily driver ROM for the Bionic? I'm hoping to get her onto ICS if possible and maybe get another year out of the phone before we can upgrade. I've read about the locked bootloader and that has limited the options, so that sucks. Anyway, a recommendation would be greatly appreciated.

There is ICS 4.0.4, google it as a downloadable file.. look for the leak version. It seemed that everything worked... im back on stock, rooted.. Im waiting for the OTA ICS thats suppose to come out in oct...

Jelly Bean will be the one to do.. but its still buggy...

Good luck

I would install one of the leaked ICS builds. It ran very well on my bionic. Much better than gingerbread. Just research which one to install because some of the latest leaks will leave you stuck if you ever want to go back to stock.

Thanks for the advice. The leaked ICS builds look very promising, but I read the official release supposedly a week or couple of weeks away, I may just wait it out. I know ICS has been promised for the Bionic for a very long time, so if it doesn't pan out, I'll take the leap with the leaks.

Yeah the official release has been "a couple weeks away" for months now. When I called Verizon to complain about signal issues with my Bionic the tech told me an update would be coming in September...

I used the House of Bionic program to install the ICS 246 leak I am on.

The phone works very well, it's fast, responsive, and has very good battery life.

I went with the 246 leak, just know, that you cannot go back to GB once you are on any leak higher than 232.

The House of Bionic also has the ICS 232 leak as an option, and you can also use it to fxz back to GB 905.

The ICS ota needs to hurry up nd come out.. my phone wont connect to a computer via usb.
I can still use an sd adapter and put the files directly on the card right?
