Hi everyone!

I've done a lot of researchs on this subject, but now I just need your help :) I'm looking for a nice Android phone because I want to change my iPhone (I'm a bit bored of this so closed phone after a year of using...).
In the beggining I chosed the Droid X, but I'm living in Canada so I need a phone that support GSM technology. Here's what I'm looking for on a phone :
-4.3" screen (I would really love, but could do with a 3.7" or something like that!);
-A camera flash;
-SD card;
-Touch buttons (non-physical) (I'm piss off the only button that my iPhone have);
-If possible, a shape that is far away from the iPhone; and
-Support GSM technology (obviously).

I thought about the HTC Inspire, but its shape looks a bit like a iPhone so I hesitate (furthermore I can't even test it!). Also I don't like the HTC unlock method (push down to unlock), I want the original one with the sound on right and unlock on left :) I know that I can use a custom ROM so that's not a big deal, but I need to read more about rooting because I don't know what kind of problem that could cause.
I thought about the HTC Desire too, but its buttons and screen make me hesitate more and more. The Atrix is coming to my carrier, but I can't spend $800 on a phone...

So, any suggestions? Advices?

Thank you all for reading me and future help hah!

At 4.3 inches, the Inspire/Desire HD is really your only choice. If you can do 4.0, then maybe look into the Galaxy S phones or the Nexus S. Other than that, theres the G2/Desire Z, Desire, and Nexus One at 3.7 inches.

As for no having the same shape as the iPhone...good luck with that.

Yeah I can see that... Well that's not too bad, I can do with that :)I heard that Samsung do not upgrades their phones that much so I don't know if I want the Galaxy S.
Is it true that HTC is the best for upgrade rate?

What about Inspire vs Desire HD? Have someone tried both of them? It looks like Desire HD are more expensive on eBay so I may try the Inspire, someone could say if it's a bad move? :)

Thanks for your answer!

EDIT : According to the fact that the Atrix will be available soon, do anyone else here think that the Inspires' prices on ebay will drop?

Any Galaxy S you get in Canada will already be on Froyo. For updates, its half Samsung's fault, half the carriers. HTC is pretty good for upgrades.

The Desire HD and the Inspire are the same phone, except the Inspire is AT&T branded. It will have the 3G bands for the Canadian carriers, so it might be a better choice anyway.

Thank you!
The Inspire looks great, I think it's going to be my first Android phone ehe!
Any other suggestions?

EDIT : I just want to know if the fact that these phones are from US means that we can't set the language to french? If not it's not a big deal, it's just kind to get a phone that use your own mother tongue.

You should be able to go into the settings and change it to French.

Thanks!
I've tried to email AT&T to ask them if I can buy the phone from them but I need an account to do that, anyone know if I can buy the Inspire directly from AT&T or do I need to buy it on eBay?

You'll probably need to buy it from ebay or some third party seller.
