When I try to use Photo Editor on my galaxy note 9, it says it is being used by another app and I need to stop it before I can use it in my note 9 gallery. I can't find the other app using it. Any ideas would be appreciated!!!
Welcome to Android Central! I moved this from the Android Apps forum to the Note9 forum since the former is intended for developers to promote their apps.
Try going to Settings>Apps, then tap Menu>Reset App Preferences.
B. Diddy's, thank you very much! It worked! Also, thanks for putting me in the right forum. If I had not wanted to reset my preferences, would there be a way to tell where the Photo Editor app was already running?
Glad that worked! I'm not entirely sure what was happening there -- do you remember the exact error message you were getting? I'm used to things like the Camera or Microphone not being available due to being used by another app, but I've never seen an app being used by another app.
I've never had that experience until today. It kept telling me the same thing and I hadn't even used anything else on my phone. I just closed out of it went back in and it finally went away. I've never seen that message before today. But my photo editor did do an update a few days ago but I've used the phone multiple times since then. And I hate how on one of the other updates recently it moved the options for the camera to back to the top I like it at the bottom by the shutter button so I can quickly change from photo to night or whatever pain in the you-know-what to do it from the top.
