I need to replace the micro USB on my N7.
Does anyone know where I can purchase the full ribbon with micro usb on it?

I pick them up on eBay for around $12-15 shipped in the USA.
Their are plenty of sellers offering them these days so just search ebay for the lowest price + shipping & make sure it ships from the US so you don't wait a month for the part to arrive from abroad.

What do I put in the search engine to look for it on ebay or Google?

Sent using my Verizon Turbo charged 64GB Ballistic Nylon phone unfortunately with a case on back

Copy & paste this into the google search bar

Hi,
For info .
On the iFixit website or app ,
There's a post with pictures on
how to replace this part .
It's listed as : Nexus 7 I/O
Assembly Cable Replacement .
About to replace mine soon .
Got part off Ebay .

Yep plus tons of detailed vids on YouTube :)
You can't lose ;)
Just work carefully & you should be GTG.

From what I recall I had to back popped off mine and the part replaced within 5 minutes.

Just reporting back. I o ordered the part from eBay and it finally arrived and I promptly list it somewhere in my house. Found it last week and opened the back up and took it the parts and the ribbon.
The new ribbon with the micro USB port and headphone jack was longer than the original one so with very little work I was able to attach it. Charges perfectly now.
Only problem other than being on Lollipop 5.1.1 is the headphone jack doesn't work. But I am not complaining I will use my Bluetooth headset instead at night to watch a movie
