need to update to version 4.3

How do I update my android version to 4.3? Need it to be able to sync with new fitness band

currently running 4.2.2 but when I hit software update says my phones up to date?

Samsung support have said its not available and may never be!
Frustrating as I bought a Fitbit fitness band that website claims compatible with my specific phone! Their suport now says I need 4.3
