Need to upgrade from my S5, have a couple questions

My S5 has been freezing up every once in a while, so I'm going to upgrade to the S9/9+. What is a good software to backup my current phone? Is there any other differences between the S9 and S9+ other than size? I tend to prefer phones that aren't too big, but if the S9+ is better I think I can handle the size.

The S9+ has 6GB of RAM and dual camera off the top of my head. S9 has 4GB of RAM. I think it's worth getting the plus model. I have the S9+ and love it. It's a beast. Below is a link comparing the two.

As an S8 owner, I can say the size is perfect. I think the S9 would be a great buy for you. Given the timing, you'll get a great deal.

On the backup front, I've performed a couple of factory reset on my device and found Samsung's own backup tool to be just fine.

Before you get your new phone create a Samsung account and back up to it. Use the smart transfer feature to migrate the S5 data to the s9.
