AC Question

Hi, I'm new in this forum and there might be protocols that I've missed so please bear with me.

Here's my problem. My HTC One M8 is virtually unusable. After it encountered a ' hard' fall. By 'hard' I mean that the fall was around 1 meter high and fell on a rocky surface, and it got some dents because of it. After several days my phone shows these defects.

1. 'No Simcard' error and does not read my sim card even if I tried to open and reset it.
2. Display is distorted when I unlock it. It randomly displays a distorted screen, sometimes the display turns upside down or the color automatically inverts. Although the display is fine when the phone is locked and when running fast boot mode.
3. Camera crashes and displays that there is something wrong with it when I tried to open the camera app.

I tried to have it check with some local technicians but they think that the lcd screen needs to be replaced, but I doubt it. Since I have mentioned, the fast boot mode is working fine and the display is fine when the screen is locked. I was thinking that there might be some connections lost or some circuits displaced because of the fall. I was thinking of having it check from a different technician. Can you give me other advice or opinions regarding this matter? I would be very pleased. Thank you for your time.

PS: I bought this phone online and the seller is from Hong Kong and I am from the Philippines. The sellers agrees to have it check for free because it is still under warranty. But my problem is that there is no courier that allows to ship mobile phones abroad from the Philippines. I tried DHL which is international based but they won't.

Welcome to Android Central! You're right, it's probably more than just the screen, since you're having SIM and camera errors. But I also doubt that it's just due to some loose connections, because these issues are all separate. If you want to pursue a repair, then I agree with finding another repair shop, but they'd have to open it up and try to diagnose things first. They might have to go as far as replacing the motherboard, which would cost quite a bit of money.

Also, I doubt your warranty would cover this, since damage is presumably obvious, and a manufacturer's warranty never covers accidental damage. If you bought separate insurance that covers accidental damage, that's a different story.
