Needs help now!!!!

Ok i been trying this linked ota for the froyo....and its not working. Ive done everything! Even hooked it up to my computer! Im pretty tech savy but im starting to think i have met my match with this fone! Can someone help me!

I keep getting an error message and the installation keeps getting aborted! Ive seen in the forum im not the only one with this issue!

Your cry for help is a little vague... You're saying you hooked it to a computer, but for what purpose? Have you downloaded the OTA file, renamed it "update.zip" and put it on the root of your SD card?

Have you read the posts on the "OTA Link" thread? Specifically...

This is correct, but depends on how the file is showing... I did everything through ASTRO and it required me to keep the ".zip" extension in my new name...

However, if you named it "update.zip" and you're having problems, Chief's suggestion is spot on... Just try naming it "update" as the .zip extension may already be there, but hidden.

i have done all of the above.....i connected it to try to save the zip file to my desktop then copy and pasted it! ahhh such a head ache. i have been at this since 8 am....i have read all the pages on the forum about the ota! mmmmmm i feel handicapped by this!

OMG after almost 12 hours of doing it i finally got it to work!!!!
