Netflix & Hulu

No news on Netflix, but I have to think all the Honeycomb tablets will get it at the same time, and that it shouldn?t be too much longer.

Hulu will likely never (officially) come to Android tablets.

FWIW, AmazonVOD works (passably) if you need a video fix. If you are an Amazon Prime member, you can get a number of shows free. Otherwise, you can pay to rent them.

In testing it, with a low speed connection the videos play smoothly, but with noticeable macroblocking. With a high speed connection, they look decent, but there is noticeable frame dropping.

A lot of their shows have free previews you can click on to try it out on your TF. You don?t need a prime account and you don?t need to pay to test it out.

Any news on when the Transformer will get these?

I doubt Hulu will ever come to Android. It's a website run by oldschool media and they have issues with "new" technology.

As for Netflix.. I'm hoping soon. Considering all the Android Tablets right now run essentially the SAME chipset and hardware, it's inexcusable that it's not out for Tablets already. I love netflix, but they need to stop pulling this kind of crap.

As a "stopgap" I've been streaming Netflix to my tablet via the Splashtop app on the Transformer. It looks decent, though the framerate is lower than I'd like.

Seriously, if my OG Droid, Droid Incredible, and iPod Touch 2nd Gen can ALL run netflix (and all three of them are rooted/jailbroken) then why can't my brand new, completely stock tablet?

Oh my god, please give me Netflix on my Transformer. I watch it on my EVO and I love it. I'm watching Lost (on season 2 right now) and it's incredible having a movie follow me around everywhere I go! The increased size of the tablet and yet still portable would be a dream come true!!

Actually HULU works! using the web browser and this mod if you are on 3.1. It works by tricking hulu that u are accessing it using a PC.

[MOD] Hulu: Flash 10.3 modded to work UPDATE 5/29 - xda-developers

Good on ya - that worked like a charm - nice to have hulu altho I would greatly prefer Netflix. This is a nice little work around - does this break any other flash functions? Haven't noticed anything just wondering. Great tip man, hulu looks great.

PS after completing the Changes above you need to close all tabs and your browser then restart the browser for it to work.

HULU

Did you ever get the Hulu to work again using the web browser? If so where do I get the working version?
