Can anyone tell me what is with the "Network Error" message? This seems to be coming up quite frequently lately. The conditions under which this seems to happen is when I have my phone charging, the alarm is set, and the phone is just sitting on the counter. When I go to turn the alarm off, the first thing I see is a message stating that the battery is fully charged and to remove the charging cable. After I close that message, I see a message that says network error with the option to retry or cancel.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that means your phone was trying to send/receive data and it was getting too poor a signal to do so. Do you notice it happening in some locations more than others?

Nothing to worry about... Weak connection and your phone is trying to re-connect to the network.

This is happening consistently when my phone is inside.

With the phone just sitting on a counter, what data could possibly be getting sent/received? Is it the network connection that keeps the time updated?

I never saw this happen with the HTC Hero phone that I had, at least not that I can recall.

There could be an app polling for some data, your Google account could be checking/syncing, etc. Something is trying to send and receive and failing.

all phones are constantly sending and receiving data. thats just what they do. do you have a wifi connection inside? if so i would use it because it is faster and drains less battery. your probably just in a fringe 3G area.
