Wow! My iPhone was cool, but my Samsung 3 kicks ass! I must admit it is a bit of a learning curve (which I like), can anyone recomend a must have app for Android?

Welcome to these forums, stumbled across the app yesterday by accident. If you haven't got it install it. As for other apps, I use the android newsreaders and technology readers like android news, mono technology, an news, Phandroid, Google+, camscanner, drop box, ifixit, Facebook, vidtrim pro, tune in radio and the list goes on.

I use Tiny Flashlight all the time.

And I use the Google Drive constantly. Phone, tablet, multiple computers. I'm a list guy, so, having them accessible on all my devices, or, whenever I am just by logging into my Google account on a computer is great.

Amazon Appstore. They feature a pay app for free everyday. It's generally a game, but, still cool. I have scored some great apps for free that way, like Cozi. Which is an excellent shopping list app if multiple people in your family do the shopping, since it's a shared list.

Hmm security apps are rather useless I just read an article the other day that said they only scan for a predetermined list of files/items in your system they don't even scan for actual viruses but lookout is really good. Personally I don't need it because I'm careful while browsing.
