You shouldn't have to update cause my Archos 43 has the updated market and it's running 2.2 still.

not to fond of the apk version. when updates available for and app with the apk i have to uninstall app then reinstall before i get option to update the app. an also wish the apps were order of download instead of alphabeical i w wait for offical update and see if it differs

I didn't have to install anything. I did get a prompt to agree to the Market conditions again though.

There are two ways to get it. The first being to install the leaked Market apk or just wait for Google to push it to your phone.

I personally think the new market app is nice. Little bloated in feel for 3g..but 4g and WiFi feels perfect on it. Love the look also. Give it a try if you haven't already... http://db.tt/J6UKw4f

I was updated on my EVO and now back to the "old" market on my Photon......lol

I really like the new mkt. My only gripe is reading the comments for different apps. It seems as if they use random comments that are out dated. I wish they were in order from the most recent date. Im not really interested in a comment from a year ago if there has been 5 updates since then. I checked the settings to see if I was missing something but i didnt see any options. Oh well.....still a very nice upgrade.

ok thanks .. I just remember when the last update came out some people had cleared the data under the manage applications(for the market) and then restarted there phone and opened the market and it updated to the newer one ... but i have tried and it does not work ....

I got the market push last night. I don't like it. 3.99 to watch a movie on a 4 inch screen? Are you kidding me. I have Netflix a nook and the nook app on my phone. I have no interest in Google books or movies. All I want is access to apps and games. I want the old market app back. If I wanted a phone I had no control over then I would have bought one of those fascist ass iPhones!!!
