New apps appeared on my phone

I just noticed the following app on my phone and want to know if anyone else had them pushed to their phone.
1) History Eraser
2) Places
3) Teeter

I have Teeter and Places Directory (is that the same as Places?) No History Eraser though.

I'm not sure about the places directory but the history eraser has a garbage can symbol. I just noticed these new apps when I downloaded Vlingo but I'm not sure when they were pushed to my phone. I like them a lot though.

Then i guess I have had it there for awhile and just never noticed it. It would be nice if you got a message or some type of alert that a new app was pushed to your phone. The apps list is long and I normally don't go into it since I have most of the apps I normally use on my homes screens.

teeter is factory installed, you probably didnt notice it.

I'm curious as too why I have history eraser and you guys don't. Maybe its just being pushed out and it hasn't gotten to you yet. Anyway it is an easy way to clear out unwanted stuff like:
Call Log
Contacts
Browser History

No its not a virus. I read somewhere else today that someone mentioned using the history remover.

Honestly I'm pretty sure that you, or someone using your phone, probably downloaded History eraser and don't remember. From what I know, they cannot push apps to your phone (like blackberry service books) and they would require a Rom update for the apps to be cooked in (like cityID). Places and Teeter are on your phone by default.

Actually, I never realized Teeter was a game, I just assumed it was some Twitter BS and never opened it. Now I've tried it and it's kind of a fun if basic game. My son's gonna love it.

And to stay on topic, I have no idea where you picked up History Ereaser. It's not on my phone.

Does anyone else have access to you phone? Seems more like somebody used your phone to do something they are not proud of, then downloaded history eraser from the market to cover their tracks (and neglected to delete the app). That's not an app that you will see pushed -- its published by an individual. And it's not bundled with Vlingo. You will know that it was not "pushed" to your phone if it appears in your Downloads in the Market app.

OK, I did a search for History Eraser on AC, and there's a few threads that mention it, and even then it's only in passing. I don't think this question is worthy of a new thread so I'll ask here.

Who here uses it and do you like it? It's got great reviews on AppBrain, but I wanted to hear more than "Works great on the Inc." *5 stars*

I know what most of you are thinking, "It's free, just download it and try it." However, I'm leery about downloading some of the free stuff. I've had to wipe my Inc. once already, although I'm doubt the problem was anything other than HTC mail, but I still would like to hear real world opinions.

I suppose the first review was technically from anicholas7 - "must not be too great, I forgot I installed it".

Teeter is one the phone factory, Places is from the latest Google Maps update, and history eraser is only available from the market. Sounds like you are seeing things you forgot about downloading or haven't paid attention too lol. You haven't been pushed anything from Verizon as far as that stuff goes, and you don't have a virus etc.
