New battery, still won't charge, but shows full if off

I am so confused. My S3 wasn't charging or holding charge properly, so I got a new battery. While on, it will still make the little charger connected sound over and over while just sitting there still. Last night, I just turned it off and charged it. I was excited to see it said 100%. Then I booted it up, and it said 19%! I have no idea what's going on!! Can't really afford a new phone right now, please help!!

Welcome to Android Central! It could be a problem with the phone's microUSB port, or possibly with the motherboard. I'd bring it to a repair shop and see if they can diagnose it.
