Hi there
Has anyone else had this problem? Or if you haven't can you check and see if you do? I don't think it's device specific as I think it happened on my Galaxy Nexus and now on my Nexus 4 so it seems to be a long term Android bug.
- Steps to reproduce the problem.
1. Open calendar app
2. Click menu, new event
3. type an event name
4. wait for the screen to fully dim to off (not just partially dimmed) - default is 30 seconds - you may have turned this off or made it longer/shorter
5. turn the screen back on (and unlock the handset if needed)
6. click done
- What happened.
the new event has been created twice with the same information in both events. it appears the event automatically saves when the screen turns off and then when the screen is turned back on and the phone is unlocked - the device creates a new version of the event with the same information which you are now editing.
- What you think the correct behavior should be.
when the screen is turned back on and the device is unlocked - the event you are editing should be an original, not a duplicate.
I am using:
LG Nexus 4 - Android 4.2.2
If you are having this issue too - can you please STAR this bug https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=53119 - don't reply unless you have anything to add! just star it so devs can see it's an issue
Thanks
