Question New device, new carrier, new SIM, same phone number

Is it possible to get a new device, new carrier, and new SIM but keep same phone number?. I think my current phone is locked if that makes a difference.

In the USA,, Yes, you can get a new device new carrier, and new sim but keep same phone number.

You would need to go to the new carrier and ask to port the number to the new carrier.

If you owe money on the current phone then the current carrier will send you one final bill for service and the remaining balance of the phone.
