New Droid Incredible owner

So, I bought a lightly used Droid Incredible for $50 from a guy on Craigslist, mostly as a toy to play around with ROMs on, and I must say that it's a nice little device.

I flashed CM 7.1 on it as soon as I got it. Luckily, the previous owner had deactivated it before the Gingerbread OTA, so it still had 2.2 on it. Battery life is surprisingly good with Sense stripped off of it. A LOT better than I had expected.

I think I may use it as my daily driver for a while, especially since my Droid X has been requiring a factory reset lately by becoming a little unstable with random reboots at inconvenient times.

Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. Are the forums here still pretty active, or has everyone left for newer devices?

Its slowed down quite a bit but it seems like the last OTA for 2.3 brought in quite a lot of newer folks. There's always gonna be someone around for quite a while on this phone .

It'll get quieter soon, though. The Nexus is about to drop, and VZW is giving most of us our last N-E-2 upgrade early.

Enjoy the phone. It's been great - except when HTC decided to break it (twice!).

Thanks. Yeah, I like it. Had the Droid Incredible not had the AMOLED screen shortages & delays when it was first released, I would have probably bought it soon after launch.

I got it mostly for the upcoming CM 9 releases & hope it sees some support.

I will say that one thing I do miss on it is the multicolor notification LED that my DX had. Am I missing a setting somewhere, or is green, orange, & red the only colors the Incredible supports?

page 24 of this user manual says the LED is green & red. we've all seen orange when charging the phone, too.

{edit} come to think of it, I've seen blue, too (bluetooth).

I am also waiting on a slightly used Incredible after several months on the new BB9930. I am really disappointed in BB that they don't have a better OS. It can't seem to sync my contacts with Enterprised for my work email. I stupidly gave a great Driod Pro to my daughter and now she won't let me swap her. She must be the smart one in the family as she now has the Pro and I'm stuck with the 9930, until tomorrow when I get the Incredible.
