New Droid owner ..first problem

First off i wanted to say hi to the community and see if anyone could help with my first issue. It seems i cannot download any apps in the app store...the apps just say starting download and then stays there...any solutions?

same problem here. my wife has had her droid since December. my friend got one last week. neither of them have had a problem. every time i try to download an app it says "starting download" and nothing happens. i don't think it is a market problem because she can still download from the market. any suggestions?

If the app isn't getting installed and you've tried resetting it I'd take it in. My downloads will lag like that, but generally it's just not updating progress. So mine will sometimes say starting download and then stay at that, but then I'll get a notification that the install was complete.

try logging into gtalk. This happened to me when I installed a new ROM. I cancelled all pending downloads then logged into gtalk, backed out and the apps downloaded fine.
