New Droid user INCOMING!

So, I'm going to be getting a Moto Droid this coming week, and I was wondering if there's anything I should know about it first. I'm new to the whole Android platform, but unfortunately, RIM is disappointing me with their Microsoft partnerships. Any tips would be appreciated!
