YouTube - Worst Verizon Droid X Commercial Ever!

I hope it is just some crazy local dealer somewhere. VZW was doing so well with Droid ads until this. Did they hire back the Palm Pre marketing team?

Update: Gizmodo has received word from VZW that they had nothing to do with it.
Should have done more googling first.

I really don't think it's a Verizon commercial... It's probably an authorized retailer of some sort. 1) Google isn't mentioned in the commercial 2) The quality does not compare to EVERY other Verizon commercial (I'm not talking about the video being fuzzy) 3) There is no relation to the "Droid Does" theme.

No Way was that made by Verizon. Every single one of their other commercials has the same Droid Does theme and much better production value than that thing.

I did not watch it but if it mentioned droid in the commercial then it could be vioating the agreement between verizon and lucas film. Which is a copyright violation if the local retailer did not get permission and pay royalties.
