I was having issues with my phone randomly freezing and showing a grey screen with lines on in it so Verizon sent me a new DX without the battery, sd card, and back. I would like to save all my media (pics, video, music) to my computer then completely wipe my sd card just incase something on there had something to do with the screen messing or if it has something on it that was making my battery drain so quickly after I updated to 2.2. How would I go about doing this?

Thanks I am new at this!

1. Copy all SD card content to your computer: plug phone into computer and mount USB, then copy/paste.
2. Unmount and unplug from computer
3. On the X, go to settings > SD card & phone storage > unmount SD card.
4. Once unmounted click on "Format SD Card"
5. Plug phone back in to computer, mount and then copy content back to SD card.

That said, your original problem probably had nothing to do with your SD card.
