Just ordered a new Droid X.. switching from Blackberry Storm...Am kinda excited..can't wait to get it. Just talked to a Verizon CSR and shipping date is Aug 30....Really liked the storm.. hope i am not disappointed switching to the Droid. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.....Thank You..

Fellow Storm (2) convert here. I have had the Droid X for about 2 weeks and have to say the only thing I miss a little bit is BBM. Though SMS is filling in nicely. Something I did while waiting for the Droid to arrive was tried to find apps to replace those I used in the BB world. There are soooooo many more options out there it takes some research to find the right one. Check out appbrain dot com (an android market mirror) and of course these forums for info on good apps.

I am also a Storm 2 convert, and after a few weeks I no longer miss BBM. I use Google Talk and SMS...

I just sold my Storm 2, so there is no going back....and I would not want to anyway.

I'm a Storm 1 convert as well and switching to the DX has been an awesome experience. To be honest with you, I was hesitant in buying another touch phone because of the bad impression the Storm had left on me. I was thinking of getting the BB Bold and my brother assured me that I would not be disappointed in getting the DX. I'm glad I listened to him, best phone i've owned. You won't be disappointed.
