So when in the heck is HTC gonna start shipping the new batches of Evos'? I mean this is getting just ridiculous and if I was Sprint I would be really pissed. I know it's Samsung who pulled the screens but HTC is screwed. I have an Evo with a really bad screen, still usable but getting tired of waiting. Maybe if the Samsung comes in first I'll see if Sprint will let me switch.

My stores just got another shipment this week. We have gotten at least a shipment every 2 weeks

Sprint does "allotments" with the primary vendors.. So A company with 20 stores may only get 100 phones to distribute.

A company with 60 stores will get 300.

Etc Etc..

At least thats how it works in the indirect channel

The Sprint store I go to is a Sprint owned store and repair facility. They haven't seen an Evo in 3 weeks.

I can't imagine how many customers they lost. One of my friends already went to the Captivate. Two of my other friends have been very patient but they're about to go the Samsung route too. It's really a shame. Totally dropped the ball

I don't know where all of you are, but here in Rochester NY, all of the Sprint stores are getting Evo's in every couple of days. My wife and I just got our Evo's yesterday. Only took a few calls to track down a store that had a few in stock. Maybe I just lucked out =)

I read somewhere that HTC expects most of the shortage to be eliminated by the end of august.

This is my first post I ordered mine from Sprint on the phone upgrading and talked to them on Friday last week and it was on my door Monday!!! So sprint has them or maybe i got lucky!!

My Sprint store has plenty in stock, but I have been trying to get one at Best Buy to avoid waiting on a rebate......good luck with that! Can't find one there AT ALL, they don't even know when they will get a drop shipment from Sprint:mad:

After waiting 3 weeks i FINALLY received a call for my replacement phone. I will be picking it up tomorrow morning. I'm hoping there isn't any defects

The local Sprint owned store/repair shop here near me has had them pretty regularly... I got mine at best buy but went to see what the Sprint store had while my wife was upgrading her Blackberry (I couldn't talk her into an EVO) and the guy there told me they get a shipment each week but it's usually only 10 - 20 phones per week and they go pretty fast....

Old Hesse has all ready said they lost out on a major advantage due to short stock of the device... They had a head start on the iPhone and the 4G market... If the stock problem is up by the end of August you will be looking at the Samsung Epic coming soon and LTE not that far around the corner from Verizon.. Not to mention the Droid X & Droid 2 hitting Verizon by then as well...

Too bad, EVO is a SWEEEEEEEEET phone...

I would consider VZW and LTE, but the corp discount I get on my account is too good to give up. That coupled with Sprint's lower plans has me pretty devoted to staying........and the fact that I am lusting over the Evo:p

Well, I just switched my family to Sprint on an Everything Plus plan. I loved my Droid Incredible and my Verizon service, but time to start saving money. Anyway, I settled for a BlackBerry Bold 9650 to use until I could track down an EVO. Hope I'm not waiting long. Anyone with experience, is an exchange very painful with Sprint? Haven't used them in years. Also, since I ordered online (with Everything Plus), if I find a Sprint corporate store with EVO's in stock, can I exchange in store, or do I have to exchange over the phone? I really don't think I can survive with a BlackBerry too long. Already missing my Android experience.

Not sure how the Sprint stores are, I buy all my phones at BB. But if you are within your 30 Guarantee they should exchange for whatever you want.

One Corp store here in San Jose said the should have their waiting list finished by next week. After that they said the should have stock for people to come in and pick one up off the shelf.

I have a few in stock at my store in Harrisburg but we can't sell.as upgrades. Not sure when we'll ever get upgrade stock. I have a long waiting list going as well.

There is a best buy here in San Jose that was doing the same thing. They told me they had white ones but they were for rain check's and new accounts only. I said so you are going to tell me no I can't buy one if I walk in with $500.00 cash, they said nope sorry.

Just got my evo today picked up at my local Sprint store. They told me they get a shipment of them in once a week or so usually between 5 to 20 phones at a shot.

I have bought 3 since the 4th with no problems, all from my local sprint store, only had to. Wait a few days for 1 of them. Even my friend walked in and got one with no waot, i wonder if they send more to 4g areas
