New EVO Want to Root

Hi everyone.
I just got a new HTC EVO and I want to root it for three reasons.

1) Overclock the CPU
2) Free wifi tether
3) Remove sprint bloatware

I like how my EVO runs and I like the HTC Sense UI. I want to keep everything the same except for the above changes. I also want to be able to restore the phone back to the original factory condition should I need to get a warranty repair or replacement.

I've read a lot of the forums and I'm not sure where to start and which direction to go.

Can anyone provide me some insight and direction??
