New folder in MAIL

I am using the default mail program and it is not a Gmail acct.... I would like to create a SAVED folder for important email, but cant figure out how to do it. Please advise

Is your account set up as pop3 or IMAP? I am not sure if you can create folders with pop3. But for IMAP hit the settings icon (upper right) and select Create Folder.
