I'm excited to announce that we've officially launched the "Like this post" button. This button is currently intended to supplement - not replace - the thanks button. Historically the thanks button has been used to express gratitude toward those who post:

  • ROM's
  • FAQ's
  • Guide's
  • Solved a problem/answered a question.
  • Shared knowledge, guidance, tips or tricks etc...

It's a simple yet powerful way to show your appreciation toward someone who has taken the time to help you out.

That said, I've heard a lot of feedback from members requesting we add a "Like" type button for other types of posts. So here it is and how it works:

  • You can either 1) like a post or 2) unlike a post that you've liked.
  • Your notification count will increase when you receive a new like.
  • The bottom row of the notification popup displays the number of new liked posts.
  • If you click this row you will be redirected to your profile page where you can view all new and historical liked posts.
  • If a thread has 1 or more liked posts, you will see a heart shaped pull-down at the top of the thread. If you click the pull-down you are presented with different options for finding, filtering, and viewing liked posts within a thread.

As you can see I LIKE bullet points ;)

Enjoy!

This is cool on the "like" button, but can you change it from a heart to like a happy face or something else... I mean is it just me or doesn't it seem not right to put a heart on some other dudes comments? just saying ;)

I am almost married so I never looked at it like that, however, you have a point! Lol

I"ve got a notification in my notification tab saying I've received one new like, but when I click on it, it comes up saying "no valid user specified".

Its related to that other issue you had with your username. I will revisit it again and and see if I can fix it.
