Hello, and Happy New Years!

For Christmas, my wife got me the new galaxy watch to replace my gear3 frontier.

New watch is gorgeous. But, every time it goes in and out of Bluetooth range, I get a sound and notification on my Verizon S 9+.

For the life of me, I can’t find the way to turn it off. It didn’t happen with my gear 3, I’ve looked on the watch and the phone.

Thank you in advance

when you see the notification in your notification shade partially slide it over and you'll see a gear icon tap that gear icon and it will give you the option to turn sound off. it worked on my watch

Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone. Next tap the Settings tab, and then select Watch Connection. From there you can disable the Connection Notification setting. That will stop the connect/disconnect notifications. Hope this helps.

I have checked for this and the other post about stopping the bluetooth disconnect/reconnect notification sounds, and have followed the instructions, and they don't work. I select "Watch Settings" and I have nothing about disabling the notifications.

When I slide the notification to the left, I do get the cog, but the options are 'greyed out'.

It only took me several hours googling to find this.

On the watch, not the phone, pull down to reveal the quick panel things
Click the settings cog
Scroll down to Connections
Scroll down to Disconnection alert
Turn the ******* off
