Another option to install the file is to email the "signedkey.apk" file to yourself and check the email on the phone.

...at least it worked for me on my stock non-rooted EVO using the Gmail app.

Edit: To clarify, I installed in this manner using the APK within "update-Gingerbread-Keyboard.zip" file.

What are you having problems with? If you go back through the post, I pretty much described how to do it step by step....
Here you go...Download the file in the first post next to my name and follow these directions.....

I downloaded it to my computer then extracted the file via 7zip. Goto where you unzipped it, go into the system folder then app, and copy the signedkey.apk to your sd card. I copied it into the download folder. Install with astro, then just enabel it in your meassaging app. Hope this helps
