Im confused. Maybe rightfully so, maybe Im about to get schooled. Theres been a full gingerbread rooted and deodexed 2.3.3 on my tbh app for a while now. I even had it for a while w everyone else for the past few weeks. What is this thread then exactly?

There is a NEWER version of Gingerbread that has supposedly started to get pushed to devices within the last day. New bootloader and all.

Ohhhh so its final version of what we all had to root and deodex to have. Looks like I'll go back to the 2.2.1 Liberty 2.o threads...(sad face walkin away slowly) it was fun Ginger...

I'm just waiting for root instructions to flash this updated Gingerbread, If your on gingerbread now do a nandroid! Once you get the OTA going and rooted just do an advanced restore of data only and your settings should be back to where you were.

can someone plzs help me i have the leaked version on my phone now how dod it get to the new one and i tried to do SBF but it just fails when i start it

They are amazing rooting it as fast as they do. Hopefully we will have a release soon. I am just going to hold tight and load the .zip when its released. Easy squeezy, no stress. Or push with adb, whatever the instructions. Hopefully its in .zip. may even wait for a deodexed version. They usually take a bit.

I wouldn't count on it if you're running Liberty. There will probably be check when it's pushed to your device to see if you have all the stock files, and since you don't, you won't get it.

If you take the ota you probably wont be able to root it. You'll have to SBF back, reroot and install rooted GB like last time. Z4root not working makes the rooting process normal again.

I wish I hadn't installed GB unrooted last time. A rooted version was released within 24 hours last leak making me figure out how to sbf which was pretty easy.

Edit: Ithought you went back to stock. Yeah if you are already rooted just hang tight for the rooted version to release.

Or give the liberty guys 48 hours and I am sure liberty 2.1 will come out based on the new Version.

There's some rumble about this being a false alarm... On another site, Vz has denied releasing it. And, the file name is (surprisingly) Froyo's 2.2.1 update of several months ago numbered (confusingly) 2.3.340
